White Mountains

Take a weekend camping trip to the White Mountains.

1
Part 1

To start the climb to the White Mountains, take Route 168 heading east from Big Pine.

2
Part 2

Keep driving up Route 168.

3
Part 3

Midway up the mountain, take a left to get on White Mountain Road.

4
Part 4

A few more miles in, the paved portion of the road ends, replaced by a bumpy dirt path for the last five miles of climb to the summit. A four wheel drive car with high clearance is recommended. Take it slow to avoid tire punctures.
